A massive announcement for a landmark 2027 event.
Following a huge 2026 festival, which saw 80,000 people descend on Daresbury over the August Bank Holiday weekend, Creamfields is already looking towards its next chapter, announcing The Prodigy as the first headliner for its landmark 2027 edition, which will mark the festival's 30-year celebrations.
The Prodigy will headline the APEX stage on Saturday 28 August, marking their first Creamfields appearance in 14 years.
Creamfields made its second artist announcement for August Bank Holiday 2027, revealing long-time fan favourite Franky Rizardo. A major name in the global dance music scene, Rizardo’s return is set to be a highly anticipated moment for the festival’s dedicated dance music crowd.
The Dutch DJ/Producer will take over APEX on Sunday 29th August 2027, bringing his signature groove-driven sound to one of the world’s biggest indoor festival stages.
The announcement comes after an especially stacked 2026 edition. The festival brought together some of the biggest names across electronic music, with Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Disclosure, Carl Cox, Underworld, Amelie Lens, Tiësto, Fatboy Slim and Armin van Buuren among the artists taking to the stages across the weekend.
With that edition now in the books, attention has already shifted towards 2027, with The Prodigy providing a suitably huge first name for the festival's next chapter.
One of the most influential electronic acts of all time, The Prodigy have built a reputation for some of the most explosive live shows in dance music, making their return to the APEX stage a fitting choice for such a significant Creamfields edition.
Their appearance will also bring one of electronic music's most iconic acts back to Daresbury after more than a decade away, with the group last appearing at Creamfields 14 years ago.
And with The Prodigy only being the first headliner announced, there is plenty more still to come for Creamfields 2027.
The festival will return to Daresbury over the August Bank Holiday weekend from 26–29 August, with The Prodigy set to headline on Saturday 28 August.
